Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and report on network security status to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits in compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents, coordinating with incident response teams to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working with federal government contracts or intelligence agencies is a major plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
