Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach investigations
- Implement NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks for federal systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden infrastructure
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Prepare security reports for senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
- Mentor junior analysts on cybersecurity best practices
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (mandatory for federal positions)
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in cybersecurity or IT security
- GIAC CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST)
- Proficiency in Splunk, Wireshark, and vulnerability scanning tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
