Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to sophisticated cyber threats using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain security compliance frameworks
- Analyze malware and reverse-engineer sophisticated attack vectors
- Prepare detailed threat intelligence reports for senior leadership
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Experience with NIST frameworks and federal security standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts during critical incidents
