Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Implement and maintain NIST cybersecurity frameworks and FISMA compliance
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and respond to incidents
- Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security controls into system architectures
- Prepare compliance reports for federal audits and congressional briefings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security environments
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight)
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Knowledge of CMMC frameworks and DoD cyber requirements
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) architectures
