Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive government data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Incident response coordination during security breaches or cyber attacks
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to establish unified security standards
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of professional cybersecurity experience
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and federal compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
