Responsibilities
- Implement DoD-approved cybersecurity policies and NIST standards across classified networks
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on mission-critical systems
- Monitor network traffic for anomalies using SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Respond to security incidents with incident response team coordination
- Develop and maintain security documentation including ATO packages
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with DISA and AFIS counterparts on security initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Security+ required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Experience with Windows/Linux system administration
- Knowledge of DoD RMF and ATO processes
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
