Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats using advanced SIEM tools and intrusion detection systems
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity protocols for federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Coordinate incident response activities during security breaches or cyber attacks
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal cybersecurity standards
- Train federal personnel on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with federal partners to share threat intelligence and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., Splunk, Wireshark)
- Strong knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
