Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across federal networks
- Implement and maintain security protocols for classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop incident response plans
- Ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Provide cybersecurity training to federal personnel
- Document security incidents and generate compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network defense
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CUI)
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and network architecture
