Responsibilities
- Monitor and protect federal networks using SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Conduct incident response investigations for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Implement NIST cybersecurity frameworks and FISMA compliance protocols
- Collaborate with federal partners on threat intelligence sharing and mitigation strategies
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Document security incidents and prepare comprehensive technical reports
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with federal/government experience preferred
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (CompTIA)
- Expertise in network security tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto)
