Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across DoD networks
- Implement and maintain advanced security protocols and intrusion prevention systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified and unclassified systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity incident investigations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards
- Provide cybersecurity training and guidance to department personnel
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and network security protocols
- Experience with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
