Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on naval networks and systems
- Develop and implement advanced security protocols to protect classified and unclassified data
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents in real-time
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Document security procedures and create detailed incident response reports
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threat landscapes
- Manage security tools including SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT security
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
- Experience with federal security frameworks and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with ability to investigate complex security incidents
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance
