Responsibilities
- Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity threats across DoD networks using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop and implement incident response protocols for cyber attacks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST standards
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Document security incidents and prepare comprehensive reports for leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active CISSP, Security+, or DoD 8570.01-M certification required
- Minimum 3 years experience with federal IT security frameworks
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike)
- Clearable background check and U.S. citizenship mandatory
- Familiarity with DoD RMF (Risk Management Framework) process
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network defense
