Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols across federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for critical systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach investigations
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence and best practices
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS cybersecurity frameworks
- Mentor junior cybersecurity staff and conduct security awareness training
- Monitor emerging cyber threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for reporting to leadership
