Responsibilities
- Monitor and protect federal networks from cyber intrusions using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead cyber emergency operations
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Analyze threat intelligence and produce actionable security reports for leadership
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in incident response tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike)
- Demonstrated knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls
- Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
