Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks
- Implement and maintain security controls (NIST 800-53 compliance)
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Develop cybersecurity policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CISSP or CEH certification required
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security
- Expertise in network security protocols and tools
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Familiarity with FISMA and FedRAMP frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
