Responsibilities
- Monitor and defend federal networks against cyber intrusions using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and breach response
- Develop and implement zero-trust architecture solutions for government systems
- Coordinate with CISA and other federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of classified networks
- Create incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Maintain compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA standards
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in enterprise environments
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Understanding of federal IT security frameworks and regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued fitness for duty certification
