Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Conduct incident response investigations and remediation activities
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on security assessments and penetration testing
- Lead vulnerability management programs and patch prioritization initiatives
- Provide cybersecurity training to federal employees and contractors
- Prepare comprehensive security documentation and audit reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Familiarity with federal security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CUI)
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, etc.)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
