Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for federal systems
- Develop and implement advanced security protocols and incident response plans
- Monitor network traffic using SIEM tools to detect and mitigate cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture improvements
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity standards
- Train federal staff on security best practices and threat awareness
- Manage security audits and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with federal government experience preferred
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security, threat intelligence, and incident response
- Proficiency in security tools (Splunk, Wireshark, Qualys)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
