Responsibilities
- Monitor and defend federal networks against cyber intrusions using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure systems
- Develop and implement incident response protocols for cyber-attacks
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence and best practices
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS cybersecurity frameworks
- Train personnel on cybersecurity protocols and emerging threats
- Lead forensic investigations of security breaches
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in federal/government environments
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+) preferred
- Expertise in network security, threat detection, and incident response
- Knowledge of federal compliance standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
