Responsibilities
- Customer Assistance: Provide exceptional service to walk-in customers and phone inquiries regarding license renewals, vehicle registrations, and title transfers.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records of all DMV transactions using our proprietary software.
- Information Dissemination: Answer questions regarding state traffic laws, fees, and procedures while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Queue Management: Efficiently manage the customer queue, minimizing wait times while ensuring privacy and security during sensitive transactions.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify necessary documentation, including identification and proof of residency, to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Office Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment for visitors.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience in a high-volume environment is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Detail Oriented: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Availability: Ability to work a full-time schedule, including potential overtime and weekends during peak seasons.
