Responsibilities
- Receive, triage, and process emergency (911) and non-emergency calls with the highest level of accuracy and composure.
- Dispatch emergency response units, including police, fire, and medical services, utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate, detailed incident logs and records in strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor security systems and CCTV feeds to identify potential threats, suspicious activities, or emergencies in real-time.
- Provide critical, life-saving instructions to callers until first responders arrive on the scene.
- Collaborate seamlessly with field personnel and other agencies to ensure coordinated response operations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on communication hardware and software to ensure system readiness.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree in Public Safety, Criminal Justice, or Communications is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory for this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain calm and professional under extreme pressure.
- Proficiency in typing (minimum 35 WPM) and navigating computer-based systems.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, drug screen, and medical evaluation.
- Previous experience in a call center, dispatch, emergency services, or customer service role is highly preferred.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
