Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for natural disasters and public health emergencies
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies during disaster incidents
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for critical infrastructure
- Train emergency personnel and public officials on crisis management procedures
- Manage emergency operations center during active incidents
- Prepare grant applications and manage federal disaster recovery funds
- Update emergency plans and procedures based on post-incident reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of emergency management experience in government or public sector
- FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) certification required
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Experience with NIMS/ICS protocols and incident command systems
- Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and resource allocation
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergency activations with minimal notice
