Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain emergency communication networks (radio systems, CAD software)
- Coordinate with public safety agencies during critical incidents
- Implement cybersecurity protocols for sensitive public data
- Train emergency personnel on new technology deployments
- Conduct system audits and disaster recovery testing
- Collaborate with federal partners on interoperability standards
- Document technical procedures and compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience in emergency services IT or public sector tech
- Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in radio communication systems (P25, TETRA)
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts during emergencies
- FBI background clearance required
- Experience with FEMA NIMS protocols preferred
