Responsibilities
- Perform general clerical duties, including high-volume data entry, filing, and document scanning.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls, routing them to the appropriate departments or staff members.
- Greet visitors and citizens at the front desk, providing excellent customer service and directions.
- Assist in the preparation of memos, reports, and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and inter-departmental communications.
- Support senior staff with administrative tasks, meeting coordination, and special projects.
- Maintain accurate records and databases in accordance with city policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous administrative or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to government protocols.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred.
