Responsibilities
- Receive and direct incoming calls and visitors to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain updated digital and physical filing systems.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute internal correspondence, memos, and reports.
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding city services, procedures, and policies.
- Sort, distribute, and log incoming mail and packages in a timely manner.
- Assist in the coordination of departmental meetings and special events.
- Perform general clerical duties to ensure efficient office operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume office setting.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data handling.
- Must be able to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
