Responsibilities
- Process and maintain veteran benefit applications with 100% accuracy
- Coordinate scheduling for veteran outreach programs and internal meetings
- Manage electronic records using VA's secure document management systems
- Assist in preparing reports for congressional inquiries and performance metrics
- Respond to veteran inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with compassion
- Support cross-functional teams during audits and compliance reviews
- Train on federal regulations including HIPAA and Privacy Act protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory for federal employment)
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience (transcripts required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong attention to detail with data entry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
