Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for federal desktop environments, including Windows OS, Office Suite, and specialized agency software.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and network peripherals for government clients.
- Monitor system performance logs to identify potential issues and proactively resolve software conflicts or security vulnerabilities.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of all hardware/software inventory and user support tickets.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement security protocols and ensure compliance with federal IT standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Conduct user training sessions to ensure staff are proficient with new technologies and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Experience: 0-2 years of professional IT experience or an internship in a technical support or system administration role.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, Active Directory concepts, and basic scripting (PowerShell or Bash preferred).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
