Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Monitor federal network traffic and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Security Compliance: Assist in maintaining compliance with federal cybersecurity standards (FISMA) and implementing security protocols.
- Hardware Deployment: Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of federal desktops, servers, and mobile devices.
- Incident Response: Participate in the triage and resolution of IT incidents and assist in the documentation of technical support cases.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve complex technical issues and manage asset inventory.
- Technical Documentation: Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical guides for federal staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience in a federal environment).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic knowledge of Linux or Cisco networking.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience: 0-2 years of IT experience (internships or entry-level roles are acceptable).
- Adaptability: Willingness to work in a fast-paced federal environment and adapt to changing technologies.
