Responsibilities
- Perform general office duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate electronic and physical records.
- Answer and screen incoming telephone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
- Assist senior staff with the preparation of meeting agendas, briefing materials, and travel arrangements.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct basic research and compile information from various sources to support ongoing projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure an efficient workflow for the department.
- Support the team with special projects and ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree is a plus but not mandatory.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to maintain punctuality and a professional demeanor.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a standard federal background investigation (fingerprinting, etc.).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain high accuracy in repetitive tasks.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
