Responsibilities
- Process Pension Applications: Review and process entry-level pension and retirement benefit applications accurately and in a timely manner.
- Customer Service Support: Respond to inquiries from federal employees regarding pension calculations, eligibility, and plan details via phone, email, and in-person.
- Data Management: Maintain and update confidential employee records within the federal database, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Compliance Monitoring: Assist in ensuring that all pension plan activities comply with federal laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Plan Administration: Support the calculation of monthly annuity estimates and prepare documentation for retirement packages.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in workflow and contribute to the optimization of benefits administration processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. High school diploma with relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience: No prior federal experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with database management systems.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage large volumes of data with 100% accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-experts.
