Responsibilities
- Analyze complex pension data to calculate accurate retirement benefits for thousands of beneficiaries.
- Review and process retirement applications, ensuring strict adherence to state pension laws.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and minimize risk.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to retirees, stakeholders, and government officials.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure ongoing compliance with labor laws and benefit acts.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports for state oversight committees and internal management.
- Maintain and update the central pension database with current employee and retiree information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits, or actuarial science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized benefits administration software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary government security clearance.
