Responsibilities
- Assist in processing pension applications and benefit requests for federal retirees and active personnel.
- Conduct initial data entry and verification of retirement eligibility documents to ensure accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and retirees regarding pension plan rules, calculations, and status updates.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to ensure accurate reporting of plan status and compliance with federal regulations.
- Maintain and update confidential records within the secure federal database system.
- Prepare routine correspondence and reports regarding benefit distributions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a federal security clearance.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial and personal data with confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with government database systems.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to strict government compliance standards.
