Responsibilities
- Analyze federal pension data and calculate retirement estimates for applicants.
- Process and review retirement applications and supporting documentation for compliance.
- Assist federal employees in navigating the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS).
- Maintain accurate and confidential records within the federal database system.
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email regarding pension inquiries.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to resolve complex benefit discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in federal pension legislation and OPM guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Basic understanding of retirement planning, actuarial science, or government benefits.
- Ability to pass a standard federal background check.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and federal HR software (e.g., PeopleSoft, EOP).
