Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume correspondence, including email, phone calls, and mail, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Assist department leadership with scheduling, calendar management, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare, proofread, and edit a variety of documents, reports, and meeting agendas.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including setting up conference rooms and audiovisual equipment.
- Act as a liaison between the department and the public, providing information and resolving inquiries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to learn internal government software quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive government information.
