Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, verification, and analysis of administrative data and government statistics.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and digital filing systems to ensure compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to the Department of Administration.
- Conduct research on local ordinances, policies, and regulations to support decision-making processes.
- Draft correspondence, memos, and meeting agendas under the supervision of senior staff.
- Maintain calendar schedules and coordinate meetings for department leadership.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer navigation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Must be a resident of North Carolina (or willing to relocate).
