Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming correspondence, applications, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
- Assist the public at the front desk, answering inquiries and directing visitors to the appropriate departments professionally and efficiently.
- Perform high-volume data entry tasks using various database management systems to maintain up-to-date digital and physical records.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute routine reports, memos, and correspondence to department heads and staff.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management to improve departmental efficiency.
- Operate standard office equipment including printers, scanners, and multi-line telephone systems.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive government information at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; some college coursework in Business Administration or Public Administration is preferred.
- Must be able to type 35+ words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new government-specific software quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on public service.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Must possess a valid driverβs license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform light physical activity as required by the role.
