Responsibilities
- Assist in Data Collection: Support the gathering of quantitative and qualitative data from various city departments and external sources.
- Data Processing: Clean, organize, and validate data sets to ensure accuracy for reporting purposes.
- Report Generation: Create visualizations, charts, and written reports to summarize findings for city leadership.
- Policy Support: Help draft memos and briefs that utilize data to inform local government policies.
- Record Management: Maintain digital databases and archives in compliance with city regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal departments regarding data requests and clarification.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience: Prior internship experience or academic projects involving data analysis are highly preferred.
