Job Summary
We are looking for energetic individuals to support the efficient functioning of our government offices. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for the public and a key player in our administrative processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing, organizing, and digitization of public records and data requests with a high degree of accuracy.
- Respond to constituent inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information about city services and policies.
- Support the coordination and logistics of public meetings, community events, and inter-departmental initiatives.
- Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and memos for department leadership and senior officials.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems to ensure strict compliance with retention schedules.
- Perform general office duties, including faxing, scanning, and distributing mail to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to administrative workflows.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service and conflict resolution.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive government information with discretion.
- Proven attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to undergo a standard background check and pre-employment drug screening.
