Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop hardware, software, and network peripherals.
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues via phone and in-person.
- Maintain accurate records of IT incidents, resolutions, and asset inventories in the Service Management database.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to deploy software updates and security patches across agency workstations.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and user manuals for internal systems.
- Monitor system performance and report potential hardware or software failures to the systems administration team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows 10/11), and software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and internet protocols is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
