What You Will Do
As an entry-level member of our IT team, you will support the daily technical needs of over 3,000 employees. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact state-wide efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 Technical Support: Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues for internal staff via phone, email, and in-person.
- Incident Management: Log, track, and manage helpdesk tickets using ServiceNow to ensure timely resolution of user requests.
- Asset Management: Assist in the inventory management of IT equipment, ensuring accurate tracking of laptops, monitors, and peripherals.
- Network Support: Support the maintenance of office networks, including basic troubleshooting of Wi-Fi connectivity and printer configurations.
- User Training: Conduct basic training sessions and create documentation to assist employees in adopting new software solutions.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine hardware inspections and coordinate repairs or replacements.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic projects in IT support are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve common technical issues efficiently.
- Availability: Must be willing to work in a hybrid office environment and be available to support business hours.
