Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues faced by state employees.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to identify root causes of technical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to support technology adoption across the agency.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure data integrity and security.
- Participate in after-hours emergency support rotation as required by department policy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and network concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users clearly.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor essential for interacting with diverse internal stakeholders.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
