Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues for end-users across the Nevada network.
- Manage Workstations: Deploy, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
- Network Assistance: Assist in the setup and troubleshooting of local area networks (LAN) and wireless connectivity.
- Incident Management: Log and track all technical support requests using the Service Desk ticketing system efficiently.
- User Training: Conduct basic training sessions to educate staff on new software applications and security protocols.
- Security Compliance: Assist in maintaining compliance with federal IT security standards and data protection policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 1-2 years of general IT support experience or an internship in a technical environment.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse audiences.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background clearance.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems effectively.
