Responsibilities
- Member Inquiries: Serve as the primary point of contact for state employees regarding pension plan questions, benefit calculations, and eligibility requirements.
- Data Management: Accurately input and maintain member records within the state pension database, ensuring 100% data integrity.
- Compliance Support: Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required by state and federal pension regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies in pension processing and suggest modernization strategies to the senior team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance and HR teams to resolve complex retirement cases.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. High school diploma with equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage large volumes of data with zero errors.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-experts.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with database management systems is a plus.
- Integrity: Must possess a high level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive personal and financial information.
