Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing and review of pension and retirement benefit applications for state employees.
- Perform data entry and verification of employee records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate with retirees and beneficiaries to answer inquiries regarding eligibility and benefits.
- Conduct preliminary research on actuarial data and policy changes to support senior analysts.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for sensitive personnel documents.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports on pension fund status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data processing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strict adherence to deadlines.
- Interest in government operations and public sector finance.
