Responsibilities
- Analyze pension plan documents for compliance with federal regulations (ERISA, IRS codes)
- Conduct preliminary reviews of Form 5500 filings and plan disclosures
- Assist in examinations of pension plan operations and financial records
- Communicate with plan sponsors to resolve compliance deficiencies
- Prepare detailed examination reports and compliance recommendations
- Stay current on evolving pension legislation and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with senior specialists on complex pension plan cases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Basic knowledge of pension regulations (ERISA, IRS Section 401(k))
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- U.S. citizenship required (federal position)
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
