Key Duties:
As a Pension Plan Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in the processing and verification of pension benefit calculations and payments for retirees.
- Conduct initial research and data entry regarding member accounts and contribution history.
- Respond to inquiries from public employees and retirees regarding pension eligibility and benefits.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure all pension regulations are met.
- Prepare routine financial reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records within the state database system.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this government position.
