Responsibilities
- Review pension plan documents for ERISA compliance and regulatory adherence
- Assist in financial statement audits and benefit calculation verifications
- Respond to participant inquiries regarding retirement benefits and plan provisions
- Prepare preliminary compliance reports for senior pension analysts
- Collaborate with IT teams on data management system improvements
- Track legislative changes affecting pension regulations and update guidance materials
- Support outreach initiatives educating employers on fiduciary responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in pension administration or financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of ERISA, IRS 5500, and DOL regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal background clearance
- Valid driver's license for occasional in-person meetings
