Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate processing and calculation of new pension applications for state employees.
- Review and verify pension data to ensure compliance with state retirement laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees, beneficiaries, and state agencies via phone and email.
- Maintain and update accurate records in the OSRS database and case management systems.
- Collaborate with the HR and Benefits teams to resolve complex pension discrepancies and inquiries.
- Prepare routine reports regarding pension status and system performance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration is a plus.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with sensitive financial and personal data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
