Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Process and review entry-level pension applications and retirement requests for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist senior administrators in calculating pension benefits, interest credits, and annuity payments.
- Maintain and update confidential employee records within the government database system.
- Provide general information and guidance to the public regarding pension plan eligibility and procedures.
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure the integrity of the agency's financial reporting systems.
- Collaborate with the internal audit team to ensure adherence to government compliance standards.
- Respond to incoming inquiries via phone, email, and in-person to resolve pension-related issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data manipulation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to the public.
- Must possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling sensitive financial data.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced government environment.
- Basic understanding of government regulations and public service ethics is highly desirable.
