Responsibilities
- Assist in the Administration of Pension Plans: Support the processing and verification of retirement applications and pension benefit requests.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential employee and beneficiary records in our secure database systems.
- Customer Service Support: Communicate effectively with retirees, beneficiaries, and internal staff to answer questions regarding pension eligibility and procedures.
- Data Entry & Analysis: Perform high-volume data entry tasks to ensure all financial transactions and status updates are logged correctly.
- Compliance Assistance: Help ensure that all pension processing adheres to federal and state government regulations and internal policies.
- Policy Updates: Stay informed on new government legislation affecting pension plans and communicate changes to the team.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or Public Administration is a plus.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We provide on-the-job training for all new hires.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and data entry.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
